What It Does

Receives Mail at Your Domain

Set the MX records on your domain to point at Grace Mail MX. Mail addressed to anyone @ your domain arrives here first, validated and ready to forward.

Forwards Where You Decide

Send mail to a single inbox, multiple addresses, or different destinations per alias. Catch-all routes the unmatched. Your rules, your mail, your destinations.

Spam Filtering Included

Sensible spam filtering tuned for normal use, with a quarantine review interface when you need to check what's been held back. Less junk arriving at the destinations you actually use.

Free, No Catch

Grace Mail MX is free at launch and we plan to keep it that way. Built as a small useful tool — for people running their own mail with Grace Mail Self-hosted, or anyone who needs reliable inbound for a domain.

Where It Fits

MX is the inbound side of email — receiving mail and getting it where it needs to go. Useful in several common situations:

Pairing with Grace Mail Self-hosted

Self-hosted Grace Mail handles your mailboxes. MX handles the inbound routing layer, the spam filtering, and the catch-all rules — keeping the architecture clean and the work distributed.

Forwarding for Domains You Don't Actively Use

You own the domain, you want mail to it forwarded to your real inbox, you don't need a full mail server. MX does that — for one address or every address on the domain.

Multiple Domains, One Inbox

Three or four domains all forwarding to a single working address. MX handles the routing without a separate setup per domain.

Front of Any Mail Solution

MX works with whatever you run on the back end — Grace Mail, another mail server, a third-party provider, all of the above. It's just the inbound side.

FAQ

When does Grace Mail MX launch?

Active development. Waitlist signups are first in line for early access when the product opens.

Is it really free?

Yes, free at launch and the plan is to keep it that way. MX is a small useful tool — built to pair naturally with Grace Mail Self-hosted and to be available standalone for anyone who needs it.

How is this different from Grace Mail Managed?

Managed gives you a complete mail server with mailboxes you can log into. MX handles only the inbound side — receiving mail and forwarding it to destinations you already use. If you want full hosted mailboxes, that's Managed. If you just want mail routed somewhere reliably, that's MX.

Can I forward to multiple addresses?

Yes. Single forward, multiple recipients per alias, catch-all to one address, different rules per address — the configuration is yours.

How does the spam filtering work?

Sensible defaults out of the box, with a quarantine review interface so you can see what's been held back and adjust if needed. The goal is filtering you don't have to think about most of the time.

Does it work with my existing mail setup?

Yes. MX is the inbound layer. Whatever runs on the back end — Grace Mail Self-hosted, another mail server, a third-party provider, or just a personal inbox you forward to — MX delivers there.
