Most AI agents hand your passwords and keys straight to the LLM. Grace AI keeps them in Vault, where the agent can use a secret without ever seeing it.
What the License Includes
The AI Agent
The same AI agent we run for Managed clients: tool routing, deliberate context control, and strict requirements mode for technical tasks.
Vault
Where your passwords, keys, and other secrets live. The agent acts through them on your behalf, the secret never reaches the LLM. You decide what goes in.
Grace AI app
A native application for your computer that connects to your Agent. Mobile app is coming soon.
Documentation and Direct Support
Installation guides, operations notes, and access to the team that builds the product. Paid incident support is available when you want another pair of hands.
Deployment Targets
Grace AI Self-hosted is the same software we run for Managed clients, used in real work before it ships to license holders.
Standard Linux Targets
Documented Linux distributions with sensible minimum specs for CPU, RAM, and storage. We will review your existing hardware during a license inquiry if you want to reuse it.
Your Own LLM Keys
Connect LLM providers directly. With your own keys there is no Grace AI markup on the calls, you pay the provider and nobody else. Vault holds them; the agent uses them.
Operator Tooling
Logs, backup hooks, health checks, upgrade paths. What you need when something wants attention outside business hours.
Security at Every Layer
Your data sits encrypted at rest and is only decrypted when the agent actually needs it. Vault keeps your secrets out of the LLM. TLS on every connection, access boundaries you configure. Grace AI Self-hosted is built for environments where data location and retention are not negotiable, and because you run it, that location and retention are entirely yours.

FAQ
Which operating systems are supported?
Standard Linux targets are documented per release. If you need a specific distribution validated, ask during a license inquiry.
How does the licensing model work?
Buy a perpetual license and that version is yours, with no required subscription and no expiration. Every update within your major version is included free. Your purchased version keeps working regardless.
What does "all updates within your major version" mean?
What you buy is what you get, plus everything that comes after it in the same major version, free. Development continues actively: LLM provider support, refinements, and improvements arrive as updates you do not pay extra for. The aim is software you can run for the long term.
Do I need to pay for LLM usage separately?
Yes. Grace AI does the work; the provider bills you for the calls under their own terms.
What is the difference between the Personal and Business license?
Personal is a single-user deployment. Business adds the collaboration model: separate workspaces and access boundaries so multiple people share one deployment without overwriting each other, along with priority support. Same AI Agent and security underneath.
What is the Vault?
Vault is where Grace AI keeps your passwords, keys, and other secrets. The agent can act on your behalf using them without the secret ever reaching the LLM. You decide what goes in. Your files are separate: the LLM works with the files you give it, Grace AI just does not push everything to it automatically.
Is the source code available?
Grace AI Self-hosted is licensed as a program, not as source. You install and run it on your own hardware. If your situation requires source access for compliance or audit, talk to us about what is possible.
How does this compare to Managed?
Same product, different operations. Self-hosted means you run the deployment and connect your own keys. Managed means we run the instance and bill by tokens. Choose based on whether you want to operate it or delegate it.
Can I move from Self-hosted to Managed later?
Yes. Configuration and data export paths are documented, so you are not locked into one operational model forever.
